Obviously, this blog is about our sons -- but I was really struck by a thought this morning and thought I'd share.

I was listening to a news report this morning on the radio, discussing how the Obama daughters were starting school at Sidwell Friends this morning. It made me think of the classic Norman Rockwell school integration painting and how wonderful it is that although only 50 years ago these girls would have been blocked from attending the school, they're now celebrated. Pretty cool.
